The Global Market

The market opens at level 6, the day the garden does. It gives you two ways to turn what you hold into coins: Quick Sell, to the game, right now, and the Global Market, to other cafés, at a price you choose. The market deals in coins only.

Quick Sell works in every café. Trading with other cafés needs the online game, a café kept with an email or Google, and a café that has been open at least 48 h.

Quick Sell

Quick Sell buys your harvests and pantry goods at a fixed price, always, with nobody on the other side. That price is always below what the Shop charges, so buying to sell again is a loss. A raw crop sells for less than what it becomes once refined, so refining still pays.

What you make — dishes and prep — is never sold to the game. Serve it to guests, or list it for another café.

Selling to other cafés

Pick a good on the Sell tab, or tap it in your Inventory, and choose how many to list (up to 500 at once) and the price for each. The Sell card shows the lowest and the top price that good may ask:

• The lowest is its Quick Sell price. Dishes and prep, which have none, may not ask less than 50% of what their ingredients cost at the Shop.
• The top is what nobody would pay more than anyway: the Shop's base price for a pantry good, the menu price for a dish, what its ingredients cost at the Shop for prep, and a set price for each raw crop the Shop never sells.

The market keeps 5% of each sale as its fee, and the Sell card shows what you will receive before you list.

You can have 5 listings up at once. A listed good leaves your shelf but keeps its room in your storage, so it always fits when it comes back. A listing stays up for 72 h. If nobody buys it, the goods return to your shelf. You can Take down a listing at any time, and Relist one in a tap from My listings. You do not need to be there when a listing sells: the coins are waiting for you.

Buying

Browse shows one card for each good: its cheapest listing and how many there are. A purchase takes the whole listing at its price. You can buy a good once your café can use it: an ingredient once you reach its level, a dish or prep once you have its recipe. It needs room in your storage, too.

For pantry goods in bulk, the market's Wholesaler always has lots, a little above the Shop's base price. Other cafés can never list pantry goods above that base price, so their listings always cost less than the Wholesaler's lots.

Each day a café can make up to 30 listings and 60 purchases, take in up to 20,000 coins from sales and spend up to 20,000.
